Our story

Welcome to Brickhouse Gardens, owned by Sara and Matt Hundley. We come from a long line of agriculture; both of our families have roots going back generations in farming. We got married in 2002 and purchased part of my family’s farm and live in a brick home built before the civil war.

Since age 4, I have had a passion for all things agriculture, especially flowers. I grew up on a dairy farm and raised sheep as my 4-H project. Matt and I both attended The Ohio State University and have degrees in agriculture. After graduation I became an agriculture educator and FFA advisor until our second child was born. I am now sharing my passion of agriculture and flowers with you.

Something about the love of growing something from seed to something that brings beauty and happiness to others is wonderful. My oldest daughter pushed me to turn my passion into a business. My husband has been amazing at supporting all of my crazy ideas from building a walk-in cooler to tilling up even more space to grow flowers. I could never have done it without him. Before my gardens were full of flowers, they were full of vegetables. I have been growing flowers and vegetables for as long as I can remember even as a little girl, we always had a garden.

I have been providing to friends and family and on social media since 2022. I am excited to start my website and see the growth of our business this year. I am happy to help you achieve your floral dreams whatever they may be. I am looking forward to all the relationships I build through flowers this year!
